The Meticulous Details of God's
Unyielding Love
"If God gives such attention to the wildflowers,
most of them never even seen,
don't you think he'll attend to you,
take pride in you, do his best for you?"
(Luke 12: 28 MSG)
It's so easy to get caught up in my own silly, little problems. Most of the time, my worries and anxieties are built up so big in my head that I feel completely helpless! Tests, swimming, a social life... college isn't as simple as it's cracked up to be. But then, I realize that I'm not alone.
Isn't it funny how focusing on the self leads to insecurities and worries? I've found that handing my life to the Lord and keeping my mind centered on ministering, counseling, and praying for others has led to the dissipation of my own problems. God is taking care of me; He has a plan for me; He holds my future.
Why worry about the uncontrollable when it's in the hands of the Most High? Generous living leads to joyous living. Jesus says that "whoever wishes to save his life shall lose it; and whoever loses his life for my sake shall save it." (Mark 8:34) I'm no SuperGirl, and I can't save myself. But, luckily, there's a greater power who can.
