Psalm 107:10-14
Some sat in darkness and the deepest gloom, prisoners suffering in iron chains, for they had rebelled against the words of God and despised the counsel of the Most High. Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress. He brought them out of darkness and the deepest gloom and broke away their chains.

Humans live in chains:
Eating Disorders. Sexual Sin. Drugs. Anxiety. Addiction. Hatred. Lack of self worth.

I find that when I struggle with something, I turn my back on Jesus, thinking that I can handle my problems on my own.

Christian rapper Lecrae calls it "spitting in Jesus's face."

A wise friend of mine once told me that most Christians have a pet sin; something keeping us from fully experiencing His majesty; something we deliberately hide from God.

He can handle all the area's of our live's except for [insert sin here]

We're afraid for God to shine His light on that particular sin, yet it's emotionally killing us.

"This you must remember,
This one thing you must know...
I cannot take your burden,
Until you let it go."

God has been around for quite some time; He's seen it all.
As Christians, we need to learn to give God the reigns on our lives, because
"whoever tries to keep his life will lose it,
and whoever loses his life will preserve it."
(Luke 17:33)

Give up that pet sin, let Jesus help you, and watch the darkness turn to light.

"The cross we carry is never so heavy as the chains from which we were freed."
