Mouse Ears? Check.
14 August, 2015

Good afternoon kings and queens! I don't have long to blog considering I'm in.... (drumroll please)...
Disney World!
That's right, folks! I'm at the happiest place on Earth, complete with mouse ears and a fanny pack. We're having a little family reunion with some of my cousins, so where better to meet up, eh?
There's a few things I've learned so far during my time here.
The rides I rolled my eyes over when I was a little kiddo? I'm obsessed with now.
Like the Hall of Presidents and the Carousel of Progress and Spaceship Earth? Yeah, I used to be a major whiney mc-whiner walking into those rides. But now? I can't get enough! Anything involving history or culture is right up my alley.
Secondly, I realized howwww eassyyyy it is to compare myself here in the land of fairy's and gnomes and princesses. Our group chose to come in August, which may or may not been the best time to come, and we are surrounded by people everywhere we go. From the shuttles to the restaurants to standing in line to the bathroom to... everywhere!
People, people, people. I've found myself comparing myself to lots of people I see, thinking "gosh, look how pretty she is!" or "goodness, I wish I was that skinny! " But in all honesty, who stinkin' cares. Life is so darn short, why spend our time comparing ourselves to people we don't even know?
Lastly, as cliché as it sounds, I've learned we never have to grow up. I honesty wasn't crazy psyched about the trip. I went to Disney a couple times as a little girl and loved it, but why should a 23 year old go to Disney? I proved myself wrong. I'm having a blast and will absolutely be back.
On that note, I'm going to hit the gym at our hotel (Saratoga Springs!) before heading to Downtown Disney for dinner at the House of Blues.
Have a magical day!
