Beibs, Brett, and Books! ❤
30 August, 2015

First of all, can I just say how amazing the Beibs did at the VMA's. It was his first time performing in 2.5 years and he actually started crying at the end. I'm a Beileber. Click here to watch. Yes. Thank me later.
In other news, I watched the Packer game Saturday night along with every other Wisconsin resident. We couldn't figure out the channel at first so we watched it in Telemundo (lol). We figured it out and all was well with the world.
A new QB named Brett Hundley played for the Pack. He's basically right out of college, having attended UCLA until 2014. He did a phenominal job, especially for an NFL rookie... and turned some heads. He's an up-and-comer with a ton of potential. He's pretty cute too, and kind of looks like Bruno Mars if I may. ;)
Half-way through the game, Hundley started to look strangely familiar. I definitely knew Hundley from somewhere. I had seen him before. And it wasn't just because he's a Bruno look alike.
It hit me: I ran into him two years ago at the UCLA campus square.
It wasn't every night I strolled through UCLA's campus, considering I attended Pepperdine about 30+ minutes away.
My friend Kyle was the USC football manager and invited me and some friends to attend a UCLA vs. USC staff football game. Apparently it's an annual game on one of the practice fields for the staff. It's not exactly open to the public... but anyone can go if they really want to.
So, my friends Amy and Lauren and I sat in the bleachers and watched them play for a bit. After about 45 minutes, we decided to explore the campus.
I had been to UCLA's frat row a few times, having visited the Alpha Phi sorority house and a few frat houses for parties (before I started focusing more on my faith) but had never really been to the main campus square.
As we began walking, an asian dance team flash-mob came out of nowhere. It was seriously incredible. And seriously unexpected.
After that, we ran into a couple guys (Sig Ep's, to be exact) throwing a football around. We joined their game and played a bit. Nice guys. Very welcoming.
Then, we stumbled upon a group of about 30 people all cheering, looking up at a guy standing on a big box. He was preaching the Gospel, as fired up for Jesus as I've ever seen anybody.
My friends and I stayed awhile, listening to the guy speak, finding ourselves as excited as the rest of the crowd. We chatted with some of the other bystanders, asking who the guy was.
"Well, that's Brett Hundley ofcourse! Our quarterback!"
Stunned, my friends and I were very impressed.
Hundley, whose home church is in Arizona, recently streamed his church mid-service to ask for prayer.
“I wanted them to pray for humility and health.I know this can all be gone in an instant.”
Now that's what you call a Godly man. Wow.
So, on that note, I can't wait to see what Hundley does in his NFL career. Especially considering me and him are basically BFFs. (lol...) Learning under Rodgers, there's no doubt there's big things in store for him! I know whose jersey I'll be buying this year. Go #7! :)
Happy Monday friends! And also - order my new book "Finding Your Prince" here!
