I was flipping through a book called Unveiling the End Times in Our Time by Adrian Rogers and these quotes were in chapter one. Jewels!
Remember Bethany Hamilton? The cute blonde who was bit by a shark? She is a strong Christian woman and found an amazing man! They actually have a little boy now. Here's her wedding vid!
Last night, as I was laying in bed, I couldn't fall asleep. I grabbed my pink iPad, opened up a fresh 'note,' and started typing in all the things in life that I adore. Things that bring me life, fill my heart with peace, and ground me in serenity. It was therapeutic and gave me binoculars into my heart. So often I find myself doing things I don't actually like doing because I get swept away in the standards of society. Writing that (long, long) list helped me remember that, hey, I'm an original!
Write a list of your own!
#1 on my list was writing. I love to write. It brings color into my life! Because of that, I am doing what I can to grow my passion into a talent. I have also been glancing through a book called The Best American Travel Writing. Here's a quote from the book:
Travel writing is always something I have wanted to break into. Check out this blog called The Blonde Abroad. She travels and writes and eats and explores and takes pictures. What a life!
God is the only one who can lead us in the right direction. In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps. (Proverbs 16:9) But, that's not to say we shouldn't run after our passions and get excited about the desires He's placed in our hearts. Mine is writing, so I find it a priviledge to hone in on my skills.
Who knows, maybe soon Jesus will scoop me up and land me a travel writing job. (prayer request: let's start with Bora Bora, k God?) LOL, kidding.
God created us all differently. Let's be lava lamps in a world of lightbulbs and get excited about who God created us to be. Embrace Him in unique, fun-loving ways! ☺☺☺
Check out the cutest little cottage known to man in Seaside, FL (my favorite town!). I think I'm going to move in tomorrow. I just need 1.5 million and I'm in business. If you would like to donate to the Paige Weslaski Beach House Fund, contact me.
And to end - if any of you are interested in writing a GUEST BLOG POST about your faith, adventures, travels, even healthy recipes!... inbox me. We can chat.
