Do Our Dreams Turn to Dust?
25 February, 2016

I am a TOTAL dreamer. Half the time I'm not focused on where I am because I'm dancing loonytoon ideas around in my head about what I should do in a day, month, and year. I don't know why I dream so often, although my Myers Briggs test gives a pretty good indication.
I have so many dreams and ideas. The problem is, I don't want my personal dreams to overstep God's dreams for me. I want my life to stay in the center of His will at all times, even if I find myself tapping my foot in anticipation.
I want to be less of a dreamer and more of a believer. A believer that Christ is my Father and He will guide me into the life He's predestined me to live. He will write me a beautful life story that'll further His Kingdom, I have no doubt. God doesn't call the spectacular, just the available. Are you available to God?
Lift up your dreams to Christ and lay them on His alter. Think Abraham: he almost sacrificed his beloved son for the sake of God's command. Because of that obedience, God repaid him one-million fold.
(gulp) Here goes! Here's some of my crazy dreams. I know they'll ebb and flow, changing on a daily basis. But, I sacrifice these at the alter of Christ, asking for guidance, protection, and comfort.
- opening an organic fresh-pressed juice/smoothie/health food shop (similar to Sunlife Organics, my obsession!)
- starting Milk & Honey Magazine (which I'm REALLY praying will be a go!)
- getting a masters in religion (??)
- opening a cauliflower pizza shop in Santa Monica called 'Cali-Flower Pizza' with my dear friend Amy (hehe)
- getting married and having a family and living in a home on the water with a big white gazebo
- getting into local politics (I know, I know, but I'm actually a huge political nerd... it's cool)
- buying a labradoodle (lolz)
- writing 2 more books: "Becoming His Princess" and "Becoming the Prince"
Write out your own list of dreams as a prayer to Christ. Ask Him to take your dreams and do whatever He wants with them. Whether they come true or not, God will honor and respect your subservient position toward Him and place you where He knows you belong! You are His daughter. He will never leave or forsake you!
And after writing your list, you'll realize something. Even if they all came true, you wouldn't feel completely fulfilled. The only thing that will complete our hearts is following Jesus. He paid the price of our sins 2,000 years ago far before we were even born. Anything we achieve on this Earth is meaningless without Jesus's work. Without His blessing, are our dreams even worth it? Not if He's not involved.
Wait for God to be involved in your dreams. He won't forget you.
