Here I am chillin in the Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood airport heading home to Mila-wau-kay (brownie points if you can name that movie - clue: party time, excellent, woo!). All flights to Baltimore have been cancelled due to a power outage at the airport there, I can only imagine the mayhem in that city right now. Crazy.
I always meet the coolest people on planes. I sat next to a movie director once and he offered me a part in his new movie starring some famous guy. But when he sent me the script it involved me kissing some random guy and swearing like a sailor. That didn't work out. I sat next to a Disney Imaginarian once, and she sent over a free pass to Disneyland for my birthday. That was cool. Another time I sat next to the editor-in-chief of a Christian magazine and I wrote an article for her! She was a wonderful woman, hi Janet!
On the flight over, I chatted with a woman in her 80's. She had been married FOUR times, and she told me not to settle for the wrong guy. As she had. Three times. She told me to ignore anything annoying about my future lucky man as long as he would provide for me. And to stop eating for a week if I gained too much weight. And to go tanning every single day. So yeah, that was interesting. Lol.
My trip to Fort Lauderdale was a success. I switched hotels for my second night because I wanted to be on the beach, as opposed to in-land on Las Olas. I did some shopping & bought some crazy cool socks for my brother for his birthday. I won't even tell you how much they cost because it was nuts, but they are the bomb. That's all the rage for guys right now, Jordans and crazy socks. And man-buns. And snap backs. I'm not complaining, I'd do the same thing. & I've always thought an earring was cute for guys too. Is that weird? Yeah? Deal wid' it.

I love a good burger... turkey, chicken, beef; I'm not too picky. Recently, though, I've been opting for veggie burgers! You don't need to be a vegetarian to order a veggie burger, really. Veggie burgers with sweet potato fries are the bomb. No argument needed.
I love one-pieces, I really do. I believe if you find the right one it can be much cuter and form-appealing than a bikini. I mean, can you get any cuter than this light pink sparkled bow? I think not.
Fedora's! I just bought one identical to Kerr's (above) and can't take it off. Purrrrr-fect for summer.
Remember Charles Lindbergh? The man famous for flying across the Pacific? Well, his wife (Anne) was just as impressive. She is an incredible author and wrote a favorite of mine (courtesy of a Christmas gift via my friend Amy!) called Gift from the Sea. She took a few weeks to disconnect from the world to take a good look at what really matters. The 50th anniversary of the book hit shelves last year. You won't leave this read empty handed. A favorite quote of mine:

Sure, he "lost" last night, but I am still a huge fan of Manny Pacquiao. He stands for something greater than himself: for his family, for the Phillipines, and for God. "I want to let people know there is a God who can raise someone out of nothing. And that's me. I came from nothing and I owe everything to God. He gave me this blessing. It's all credit to the Lord." For you hardcore fans who watched the weigh in, you may have noticed Manny's shirt, it said JESUS CHRIST IS LORD. How can you not love the guy? You can't get any more humble. ESPECIALLY in a sport like boxing.
