Friday Favorites: Gretchen ❤
24 July, 2015

Gretchen Marie is one of those people you feel safe with. She's got a calming aura about her, helping people feeling comfortable and that "everything will be alright." Having both worked at our campus television station together, I knew right away how special she was. Plus, she studied abroad in Heidelberg, Germany just like me!
Gretchen is currently living in Wisconsin (also like me!) working as a television producer in Madison. I know God has an amazing plan for her, and I cant wait to see where He takes her! You go girl!
Favorite Song: My personal favorite right now would have to be something Taylor Swift like "I Wish You Would" or "Stay." ☺
Favorite Food: Probably cupcakes. My sister and I just made some a couple days ago and they've basically been what I've been eating all week! (shown above - yum yum!)
Favorite Book: Tough question! I love the entire Myron Bolitar series and any book written by Harlan Coben. "One Hundred Names" by Cecelia Ahern is a good one. Also, "The Thief" by Megan Whalen Turner is always a good read.
Favorite Bible Verse: Romans 8: 38-39 - "For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Favorite Quote: "To love another person is to see the face of God" from Les Miserables. I have this quote hanging in my kitchen!
Favorite Memory: A favorite memory that comes off the top of my head right now is when I was in Heidelberg studying abroad with a group of Pepperdine Universitystudents. It was the first big snow day and almost everyone in the entire house went outside for a huge snowball fight. Then we proceeded to build the biggest snowman I've ever seen.
Favorite "God" Moment: It's hard to choose just one. The most recent has been just about a month ago. It was my first weekend by myself in Madison and I felt so lonely because I don't really know anyone yet. I decided to go to the Farmer's Market Saturday morning and I ended up running into one of my best friends who I have known since first grade. He had forgotten that I moved here, and he ended up introducing me to all of his college friends. I spent the whole day with them all. It was such an amazing God moment. I just kept thinking in my mind "Ask and ye shall receive." I hadn't even asked, yet God blessed me with an amazing day and my loneliness was gone. God is so good.
Favorite Place: I have always loved Sullivan, IL. It's the town where my mom was born and raised. Heidelberg, Germany will always have a piece of my heart. I also love the Cliffs of Moher in Ireland. It's one of the most majestic places on earth.
Favorite Movie: Frozen
Favorite TV Show: Castle
Favorite Future Dream: I love this question. Right now, I think my favorite future dream is to own a cat! I just moved to my apartment and am hoping to get my own furry friend. ☺
