Jesus: Hater or Homie?

Before I was a Christian, I found it tough to see Jesus as God. In fact, I didn't know if God existed at all! Sure, I went to Catholic mass every so often with my family. I even went to Catholic school as a youngster. But frankly, I found church rather dull because I had better things to think about, like boys and friends and clothes and nail appointments.

It wasn't until September of my junior year of college that I not only started to believe, but I asked Him for help. Help in the boy department, help in the body image department, and help in the free time department.

I'm often asked what sparked my faith. This is what I say:

Jesus can't be explained, He must be experienced.

He's my Father, I'm his babygirl. He's my shepherd, I'm His sheep. He's my coach, I'm His athlete.

Still, people find it difficult to grasp He's actually ruler of the world. They need hard evidence. They need proof.

The proof in my life was the way He changed me miraculously. But, for actual, physical, see-it-with-our-eyes proof, there's laminin.

Laminin is a protein which holds all our cells together. Without Laminin, we'd literally fall apart. Curious what shape it is?

A cross. The very thing Jesus died on in order for us to spend eternity with Him. God had a plan for Jesus to come down since the beginning of time. Laminin proves it: without Him, we'll fall apart once we hit eternity. We need Him, just like we need laminin.

"By Him, all things are held together." Colossians 1:17

"That's cool and all, Paige. But I still don't believe it. That's just a coincidence."

Fair argument. In response, NASA recently released a picture of our solar system. Millions and millions of lightyears away, this is the shape of where we live:

Babe, He's got the whole world in His hands. Yes, Jesus is indeed the King of the World. He didn't die for a select group of people, He died for us all... "that everyone who believes may have eternal life in Him." (John 3:15)

I don't mean to alarm you, but He's real. You don't need to become a monk in order to go to Heaven, you just have to believe. Someday it'll be too late, beloved.

God is so personal, He holds our cells together. He's so mighty, He holds our universe together. Trust Him with your life, because once eternity hits, you'll wish you did.
